We our copper network and the 10\/100 switches we use are too slow. With the terabyte drives costing less than a good pair of shoes on the surface it seems easy. purchasing drives that are matched to what your blade server's manufacturer supports can get costly quick.  This does not include the cost of rack mount enclosure and back plane connectors like power and data.  Also you have to purchase three drives to set up any reasonable amount of protection in the form of a well executed RAID array.
